Get Ready For Some Town Halls!

I’ve been spending the last few weeks getting in touch with local Democrat Party chairs, specifically the chairs in each county of District 8, to find out what’s been going on in each county and to find out more directly what the current state of life is for the people of each county. It’s been enlightening and concerning.

People struggling with higher costs from tariffs, legitimate threat to their businesses and workers due to unlawful and discriminatory immigration policies by the DHS (this is especially true for our farmers), and growing divisive sentiment between parties and their members. All of this happening and no sight of the current representative, Representative Tony Wied. This needs to change.

I’ll be traveling throughout the district this coming week, meeting with more of the Democratic Party chairs to hear from them first hand about each county, and I’ll be starting a series of Town Halls in each county soon to hear directly from you, the citizens of District 8.

I want to know what this timeline has meant for your life, what has been a struggle, how government and your current representation has dropped the ball, and what I can legitimately do to make things better. This will be an invitation to ALL citizens of each county, not just democrats. I absolutely want to hear the concerns directly from you. This is how we start to make life better for everyone.

As District 8 Representative, I would be representing everyone in District 8, not just those in my party or those who cast a vote for me. I promise to never lose sight of this, and I promise to always be accessible and receptive to ideas and criticisms as we move forward together toward a stronger District 8 and a better life for everyone.
