The GOP Wants You To Die.

Breaking it down in simplest terms, the EPA would be gutting its own ability to regulate climate pollution. Read that again slowly. The Environmental Protection Agency is about to cut its own throat. How is this possible, you might ask? And why would they do this?
When Dear Leader took office January 20, 2024, he began his hate reign of hobbling any person, group, corporation, or institution not willing to immediately hand over all their money or be as bigoted and discriminatory as him by firing current managers to replace them with party loyalists and puppets. This was immediately clear by his unqualified picks for cabinet, but as time goes by, other loyalists are coming into the spotlight as they are asked to ignore the standards of morality and science to follow the directive of an authoritarian simpleton bent on hurting everyone he hates. Or in other words, Everyone.
Mr. Trump installed Lee Zeldin as head of the EPA. What do we know about Lee Zeldin?
He’s a former Republican Congressman, from New York.
He had been a member of the House of Representatives Climate Solutions Caucus.
He often voted against environmental legislation in Congress, according to the League of Conservation Voters.
He pledged to reverse New York's ban on the oil and gas drilling technique known as fracking during an unsuccessful run for governor in 2022.
What does this role do? It advises on climate and environmental issues and enforces environmental laws.
Fox running the hen house. Check.
This seems obviously unhealthy to the environment and humans, right?
So why would they do this?
It’s the same story with any situation that is controlled by the corrupt and packed with corruption. Follow the money.
By rolling this scientific study back, they are taking the restrictions of air quality, greenhouse gas existence, etc. and throwing them out. This lifts standards of pollution off auto manufacturers, which of course will “Make Smog Great Again”, “Make The Hole In The Ozone Layer Great Again”, “Make Emphysema Great Again”, and a host of other deadly and 100% preventable human conditions “Great Again.” But this still isn’t where the money trail ends. Oh no.
The auto industry is big money, for sure, but the BIG money, the giant pot of gold at the end of the soot colored “rollin’ coal” rainbow is Big Oil companies. From Reuters:
“Last month, the American Petroleum Institute said it supported a repeal of the endangerment finding for vehicles but said it should be left in place for stationary sources, which would require the EPA to regulate the potent greenhouse gas called methane from the oil and gas sector.”
Stationary sources typically consist of power plants and factories, both of which use coal and gas, but typically not oil. However, it is the same type of pollution. The recommendation to leave the stationary source regulations in place shows that they understand the pollution being created is harmful and worthy of being regulated (both established as reasons under the Obama era restrictions they’re pushing to toss out), but in their own case, Big Oil is just more concerned with making profits and less concerned with destroying the planet and killing people.
This has been something the Trump Regime has had in the works for over a year, and there are several instances in Public Law 119-21 (The One Big Beautiful Bill Act) which also support the rolling back of health and environment protections under the current rule by the Republican Party of Death. Instances such as those found in TITLE VI—COMMITTEE ON ENVIRONMENT AND PUBLIC WORKS. Those are as follows:

Sec. 60004. Rescission of funding to address air pollution.

Sec. 60006. Rescission of funding for the low emissions electricity program.
Sec. 60007. Rescission of funding for section 211(o) of the Clean Air Act.
Sec. 60010. Rescission of funding for greenhouse gas corporate reporting.
Sec. 60012. Rescission of funding for methane emissions and waste reduction incentive program for petroleum and natural gas systems.
Sec. 60013. Rescission of funding for greenhouse gas air pollution plans and implementation grants.
Sec. 60014. Rescission of funding for environmental protection agency efficient, accurate, and timely reviews.
Sec. 60015. Rescission of funding for low-embodied carbon labeling for construction materials.
Sec. 60018. Rescission of funding for environmental and climate data collection.
Sec. 60021. Rescission of funding for low-carbon materials for Federal buildings.
Sec. 60022. Rescission of funding for GSA emerging and sustainable technologies.
Sec. 60023. Rescission of environmental review implementation funds.
Sec. 60024. Rescission of low-carbon transportation materials grants.
Republicans will tell you these funds were stopped to “save money.” Facts and reality will tell you these funds were stopped to give tax breaks to Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg and a bigger budget to ICE.
If I’ve said it once, I’m sure I’ve said it 100 times, and I’ll keep on saying it as long as they keep chopping away at the guardrails meant to keep our environment and our people healthy.

Emissions research, environmental pollution protections, renewable energy promotion, incentives for zero emissions fuel use, disease monitoring, vaccine funding, regulation of school curriculum, healthy nutrition studies, online record of best practice care for marginalized communities (transgender and disabled people, etc.), healthcare subsidies so citizens can afford care, cutting funding for SNAP, cutting funding for Medicare -- all of these have been thrown out the window, lit on fire, and applauded by the GOP as “progress.” Now they’re destroying the EPA.
I will say it once more, so that you may hear me and remember what they have done when the midterm elections are here. We need to vote them all out.
